SAD: Actor Om Puri dies of heart attack

Veteran actor Om Puri took his last breathe this morning at his Andheri residence, after suffering a massive heart attack. His colleagues and admirers from B-town have started pouring in at his place to pay him one last visit. Later in the day, Puri will be taken to Cooper hospital where his post mortem will be performed. The funeral will be taking place in the evening at around 6 PM.

Om Puri was known for his acting versatility and had appeared in Pakistani, Indian, British, and Hollywood films as well. Admirers of good cinema in India and beyond continue to cherish him as a performer who donned the most critical characters with ease. Puri was presently filming for Kabir Khan’s ‘Tubelight’ and also awaited the release of his very first Pakistani film.

Anupam Kher took to Twitter to share the sad news and posted:

Seeing him lying on his bed looking so calm can’t believe that one of our greatest actors #OmPuri is no more. Deeply saddened & shocked.
