The remake of a hit Hollywood venture ‘Chef’, featuring Saif Ali Khan in the lead role is all set to go on floors in October this year.
While Saif has recently wrapped up the shooting schedule of his next, ‘Rangoon’, he is currently dubbing for it. And the makers of ‘Chef’ remake are in no hurry to start the shooting unless they can have Saif completely focusing on their film. The director of the film, Raja Menon said, “We have just started the preparation for the film. We are thinking of starting the film post September specifically because of the rains. The film will be largely shot in six to seven locations in North and South of India. There’s a lot of travel involved in the film, so it will be ideal to start the film only post rains.”
Another reason for the delay is Saifs involvement in ‘Rangoon’ promotions. “The only reason we want to start the film post the release of Rangoon is because Saif will also be promoting the film, so his availability might be a concern,” Raja added.
