Salman-Khan-Akshay-Kumar-and-Karan-Johar

The news of Karan Johar and Salman Khan co-producing a film starring Akshay Kumar had got us all super excited. The movie was said to be based on the famous battle of Saragarhi and Akshay was said to be essaying the role of Havaldar Ishar Singh, the military commander of 21 Sikh soldiers.

The twist here was that Ajay Devgn too had announced a film based on the same man and the same battle and the actor had announced it way before Karan and Salman did. Ajay had also titled it as ‘Sons Of Sardaar: Battle Of Saragarhi’. Industry men also suggested that it was because of Karan’s tiff with Ajay that he thought of getting back on him by coming with a movie of a similar concept.

While we know Ajay and Salman have been very good friends, turns out Salman was unaware of the fact that Ajay too was planning a film on the same subject. When he learnt about this, he decided to move out of the project.

Says a source, “Karan and Ajay have been at loggerheads for a while. And while Karan knew that Ajay was making this film, he went ahead and announced his… to be co-produced by Salman and starring Akshay Kumar. But now with Salman not being part of this project, it will be interesting to see if KJo will still go ahead with this film.”

We wonder whether the venture is still on or not.
