After coming up with his own brand of apparels and jewellery, superstar Salman Khan is now taking on technology and will soon be launching his collection of smartphones venture, named ‘BeingSmart’.
According to reports, the actor might take a majority shareholding of the venture directly or through his family. Salman is at present building an operational management team to be headed by a professional at Samsung and Micromax. He has reportedly registered the BeingSmart trademark for smartphones and finalised the Chinese plant and initial phone models that will run on Android. Sources confirm, “Like Being Human apparel line, proceeds from the profit will be ploughed back into charity and social work that Salman Khan does with his Being Human Foundation.”
The phones of the BeingSmart brand will initially be sold online and Being Human stores. The handsets will later sell through strategic partnerships with a few large cellphone and electronic retail chains.
On the work front, Salman will next be seen in ‘Tubelight’ directed by Kabir Khan. The film also stars Salman’s good friend, Shah Rukh Khan in a cameo. He will also soon start shooting for ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ alongside his ex, Katrina Kaif.
