Salman Khan, along with Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt, attended the first press conference at IIFA 2017. The event was held at a five-star hotel in Mumbai, while the awards will be held in New York this year. The actor, who gave a fabulous performance in the wrestling drama ‘Sultan’ last year was asked if he expects to win the Best Actor Award for his performance in the movie. He said, “Definitely not me. I believe in the rewards I get from IIFA and fans, but awards are not my thing.” Generous much?

He further spoke on being a part of IIFA, “I will be a part of everything that happens with IIFA this year. I will be performing on stage on ‘Radio’… and maybe giving away an award but not receiving one.” He also spoke about competition in the industry as there’s a lot of young talent out there. He said, “My fans keep me going. The older you get, the harder it is to keep going as you need to compete with your juniors and it is difficult. Today competing with juniors is very difficult.” (Also Read: Salman Khan on SRK’s cameo in ‘Tubelight’: I am very happy that he worked in my film)
