Salman Khan turns down request to promote Jammu and Kashmir tourism

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is currently in Pahalgam, Kashmir shooting for Kabir Khan’s ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’. The actore has a humongous fan following there. Salman Khan was recently approached by a delegation of leaders of the reigning People’s Democratic Party (PDP). The leaders met the Dabangg Khan, with the request to promote tourism of Jammu and Kashmir.

The Jammu & Kashmir tourism has taken a turn for the worst after being affected by the devastating floods in the state. The People’s Democratic Party felt that if Salman Khan endorsed the tourism of the state, it would help boost tourism there. But after a lenghtthy discussion, the Khan reportedly turned down the request, concluding that he would not take up any more projects before the final verdict of his 2002 hit and run case is made on May 6. Salman Khan has reportedly decided to give the deal some thought only after the verdict.

The shoot of ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ was put on hold, as Salman was suffering from an ear infection and was on pain killers. However the team has resumed the shoot. Salman Khan’s co-stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Kareena Kapoor, too will fly over to Kashmir soon.
