Superstar Salman Khan‘s bodyguard, Shera, had a tough time last week, after a complaint was registered against him by Attar Umar Qureshi for allegedly assaulting him.
But Shera can finally take a sigh of relief as the Mumbai police has given him a clean chit in the assault case saying that the complaint registered against him by Qureshi is fake and is an attempt to blackmail.
There were allegations on Shera that suggested a physical assault against Qureshi, which also led to a broken collar bone by hitting him with the butt of a pistol on October 25. Shera, who was booked under IPC 326, 503 and 504, had stated that, “On Tuesday, I went to meet a friend at Kokilaben Hospital and from there to Pop Tate’s which is where we had the verbal argument. I didn’t get down from my car so there is no question of hitting anyone.”

The police had a round of questions after which he was given a clean chit.
A senior police officer told a leading daily, “We started searching for witnesses and came across taxi and auto-drivers who in their statement reiterated that someone had fallen down on the road to stop a car and injured himself in the process.”
