Sanjay Dutt’s biopic is eagerly awaited by the fans of the actor. Recently, this much-anticipated project was in the news for a possible delay in its release once again. Earlier, the makers of this film had postponed their release date from December 2017 to March 2018.
And the latest reports suggested that now the film will release during the festival of Eid in 2018. But, putting an end to all these baseless rumours, filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani has confirmed that the film is not getting postponed again and will be released as per the schedule. The director has said in his statement, “All these are baseless rumours. The film will release as per schedule in March 2018.” [sic] So, as per this statement, it means that the film is slated to release on March 30 next year.
As of now the title of this project hasn’t been locked yet.
Talking about the film, it features actor Ranbir Kapoor playing the role of Sanjay Dutt. Apart from him, Paresh Rawal will be seen playing the role of late Sunil Dutt and Dia Mirza will play Dutt’s wife Maanayata. Manisha Koirala will be seen essaying the role of Sanjay Dutt’s mother, late actress Nargis.
