Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmavati’ is special for Deepika Padukone, here’s the reason

Looking forward to the release of her Hollywood debut film ‘xXx: Return of Xander Cage’, actress Deepika Padukone is returning to Bollywood with yet another epic period drama ‘Padmavati‘. The actress had no releases this year as she was completely focused on this Hollywood flick. But with her return to the Indian silver screens with the titular role of Rani Padmavati, her fans are much more excited and curious.

The actress was seen playing two diverse kind of roles with director Shoojit Sircar’s ‘Piku’ and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Bajirao Mastani’ last year. Winning accolades for ‘Piku’, now Deepika is certainly getting into the mode of playing Rani Padmavati of Chittor. The actress is putting in a lot of hard work into this role like her previous characters.

It is due to this dedication that Dippy’s each role leaves a lasting impression on the mind of the audience.

Currently, the shooting of this Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial is on in Mumbai.

Along with Deepika, ‘Padmavati’ stars Shahid Kapoor who will be seen playing the role of Raja Rawal Ratan Singh, Rajput ruler and husband of Rani Padmavati, whereas Ranveer Singh will be seen as Alauddin Khilji, the medieval-era Delhi sultan, who falls in love with Padmavati.

‘Padmavati’ is slated to release on November 17, 2017.
