Being a public figure, Shah Rukh Khan has to be really careful of what he says in public. He has had a tough time dealing with all the criticism and backlash when he spoke his mind over the issue of intolerance. Post that, SRK really thinks before he speaks. But well, this could also be because of the promise he has made it to his family.

At a conclave held recently Shah Rukh spoke about this promise. When asked to share some tips of how to shut someone up, he stated, “Shut up to me is too decent. I should not bring this up. I have promised my family I will not talk like this on stage and get into trouble again.”

Further stating, “I think in today’s world (one should) be decent, be gracious, bow down a little. I am not giving you freedom to speak your mind, talk your mind, it’s a different world today. Speak your mind in the bathroom.”
