Shah Rukh Khan wanted Falguni Pathak to croon ‘Udi Udi Jaye’ in ‘Raees’

With just two days left for the release of his movie ‘Raees‘, Shah Rukh Khan is leaving no stone unturned in ensuring his movie gets the best promotions and the biggest release in India and overseas. The actor recently promoted his movie in Dubai where his lead actress Mahira Khan too promoted the movie, but separately.

Now, the actor has revealed something interesting about a song from his movie. The song ‘Udi Udi Jaye’ that shows SRK and Mahira dancing together is the perfect garba track and SRK wanted ‘Garba Queen’ Falguni Pathak to croon the song.

Yes, the singer who is synonymous with hosting the biggest garba events every year and charting out some of the best garba tracks for her million fans was on his wish list for the song. It so happened that Falguni had shared a throwback picture of herself with King Khan on Twitter, wishing him luck for his movie. SRK not only thanked her for her wishes, but also added that he so wanted her to sing ‘Udi Udi Jaye’ in ‘Raees’.

The song which is crooned by Sukhwinder Singh and Bhoomi Trivedi has surely turned out well, but we are sure that Falguni’s voice would have added a spunk of another level to the hit track.

‘Raees’ is directed by Rahul Dholakia and stars Mahira Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in significant roles apart from Shah Rukh Khan. The movie will be releasing on January 25, 2017.
