Kamal Haasan

The legendary actor Kamal Haasan is bearing the brunt for his recent comments on politicians. Akhila Hindu Mahasabha activists tore apart his posters for his insensitive comments against politicians. Reports in Deccan Chronicle state that the Akhila Hindu Mahasabha organisation have submitted a memorandum to the district collector of Tamil Nadu to initiate strict action against Haasan for his remarks on the state government and political parties. Reportedly, Haasan was seeking dissolution of the assembly and also dismissal of the government for no reason. He also blamed the politicians for the ban on his movie ‘Vishwaroopam’. These points were mentioned in the memorandum.

On the other side, Haasan has confirmed that the second part of ‘Vishwaroopam’ will release soon, but the post production work will take around six months.

The actor recently met the Queen of England at the UK-India Cultural reception of 2017. He spoke about his encounter with the Queen as he said, “The Queen seemed in good health and remembered her visit to India fondly. The Duke of Edinburgh was in great shape and health as well. The exchange was brief as there were too many people. You might remember during Her Majesty’s visit to India, she visited my film set. Probably the only film shooting she had attended in her whole life.”

Haasan is yet to comment on the posters controversy.
