Shraddha Kapoor’s upcoming film ‘Half Girlfriend’, wherein she stars opposite Arjun Kapoor, deals with a rather complicated love story. Not just the uneven equation between a middle class not-so-street-smart Bihari guy and a rich, upper clash Delhi girl, but the emotional twists are also bound to attract you.
Yesterday, at the film’s trailer launch event at a suburban multiplex in Mumbai, Shraddha spoke at length about how the older generation perceives the present trend of relationship.
“I have seen many of my friends who do not want to fully commit in a relationship. At times, (they) do not want to settle down … as in, marry the person. On the other hand, our earlier generation is becoming more accepting towards respecting our choices, even if it is a live-in relation,” she said.
And has she been ever in a complicated relationship herself?
“Well, there are relationships in all our lives that you cannot name. Like in this film, I also believe there are relationships we have sometimes in life, where you have someone who is more than just a friend but not exactly a boyfriend… It’s somewhere in the middle,” she smiled!
True that, you must have encountered those as well!
‘Half Girlfriend’ is based upon Chetan Bhagat’s bestselling novel of the same name, and hits the screens on May 19.
