Sidharth Malhotra doesn’t like romance. Here’s why…

Sidharth Malhotra, who will be seen romancing Katrina Kaif, in Nitya Mehra’s time travel romance ‘Baar Baar Dekho’, has quite a different take on doing romantic roles. The actor, who is otherwise known for having a ‘lover boy’ and ‘chocolate boy’ image, surprisingly has qualms about romancing onscreen.

Sidharth made his debut with Karan Johar’s ‘Student of The Year’ where too he had shades of romance in his character. Since then, be it the adorable loser of ‘Hasee Toh Phasee’, or the dark gangster of ‘Ek Villain’, or even the nerdy professor of ‘Baar Baar Dekho’, romance is where the young performer has been wowing us.

The 31-year-old actor, when asked on how he feels on being tagged as the lover boy of the generation, said, “Love stories are not my comfort zone. I have only done two of them. I have also done one action film. I haven’t found my comfort zone. It’s more about stories for me. If I have a new story to tell and to be a part of, I would do that.”

“Like ‘Kapoor & Sons’, it was a family drama done in a new way. Similarly, I’ve done ‘Baar Baar Dekho’ which is again very unique with a concept of time. Trying something new is my comfort zone,” Sidharth further added.

Well, this is an interesting revelation, given we really like to see Sidharth in romantic roles.
