After doing two serious movies, Sidharth Malhotra says he enjoyed doing ‘Kapoor And Sons’ as he feels it is easy to shoot light-hearted films.
“Our job is to make things look easy. It is less physically stressful, as it is not an action film or intense kind of a role where you need to put in hours,” he said.
The Shakun Batra-directed film also stars Pakistani actor Fawad Khan and Alia Bhatt in the lead.
Sidharth is aware of the fan following that Fawad has, but he is not jealous about it.
“I know he (Fawad) has a huge fan following. Girls below 30 years of age used to come to me and above that would go to him. But strangely those aunties used to call me ‘beta’ and call him Fawad,” he said in a lighter vein.
The romantic family drama film also stars talented actors like Rishi Kapoor, Ratna Pathak Shah and Rajat Kapoor.
“When you work with talented actors, your performance also goes notches up. They improvise a lot…so you have to be on your toes. You get to learn a lot from them,” Sidharth said.
“I have worked with Rishi sir in ‘Student of the Year’ and this time while shooting for ‘Kapoor And Sons’, I interacted a lot with him. He is energetic and a typical jovial Punjabi guy,” he said.
Produced by Karan Johar, ‘Kapoor And Sons’ hits cinema halls this Friday.
