Actress Sonakshi Sinha is a busy woman. Apart from working in movies and singing, she has also been focusing on her production venture. She opened up with an entertainment portal about why she would choose Bollywood over Hollywood and who is her real inspiration to do action flicks.
She was quizzed whether she would consider taking up a a supporting role in the West, if offered one. She said, “If it is a great role, then why not? If you see ‘Ocean’s Eleven’ (2001), every character may not have had the biggest role, but they had great parts to play. If something good came my way, I would think about it. But it (Hollywood) is not something I am working towards.
I am content and happy with the work I am doing here. That is and will always be my priority. I would not like to leave my work here and shift base. I wouldn’t let that take up more of my time. But if I get a substantial role that will engage me and not require me to let go of my principles, I will consider it.”
But she had words of praise for her contemporaries overseas, Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone. Sonakshi said, “Priyanka has made it in the West like no other Indian. I wish Deepika all the best. She is part of a big franchise. These girls are doing some great work, and more power to them. Hats off to them for putting India on the global entertainment map.”

She was also asked about her inspiration for action flicks. Here’s what she said, “All the action heroes who I have worked with are iconic in their own ways. Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan, Ajay Devgn and John Abraham are all inspiring.”
Sonakshi was last seen in the action thriller ‘Akira’ and is geared up for ‘Force 2’ which is again an action-packed thriller with John Abraham.
