Sonu Sood’s father Shakti Sagar Sood passes away at the age of 77

Bollywood actor Sonu Sood’s father Shakti Sagar Sood took his last breathe on Sunday, 7th February at his Moga residence in Pujnab. He was suffering from respiratory troubles since last few years and died due to a sudden cardiac arrest.

Sood lost his mother Sooraj Sood eight years ago. The sudden loss has visibly left him devastated.

Sood was in Punjab as his team ‘Punjab De Sher’ had a match in Mohali, as part of the Celebrity Cricket League. The both were in a conversation when his father got a sudden heart attack and fell from the bed. Sood immediately took him to the hospital but he was declared dead.

A source close to the family said, ““His father was suffering from respiratory problems since years now and that is why he never agreed to move with Sonu to Mumbai. He preferred staying in Punjab. Following the death of Sonu’s mother almost eight years back, he was living alone. Sonu visited him quite often. Sonu’s sisters Monika and Malvika are married. One is in Punjab while other is married abroad. Cremation will be held on Tuesday after the sisters arrive.”

Sood’s wife Sonali and two sons will also be travelling to Moga on Tuesday for the cremation.
