Sridevi clarifies on her statement of wanting to see her daughters getting married

Not very long ago, an interview of Sridevi brought her amid controversies after she stated an actress’ life was not what she wanted for her daughters and would rather be glad if they got married and settled down. This was in context of her elder daughter Jhanvi Kapoor, whose rumoured Bollywood debut has been keeping the gossip mongers busy for many days now.

Now, Sridevi has taken to Twitter to clarify her statement. “It’s very important to me that young girls understand that the end goal of life is not to get married and have babies. They have every right to make something of themselves if they wish to. What I meant to say initially was that I’d prefer if my daughters didn’t lead the kind of hectic life that comes with this business and instead have a relatively stable and relaxed life,” she wrote.
