A bevy of Bollywood stars such as Sridevi, Salman Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan and Shatrughan Sinha among others attended megastar Chiranjeevi’s 60th birthday party, hosted by his son Ram Charan here.
The party was organised at the Park Hyatt here on Saturday, and the crème de la crème of Indian cinema attended the event.
“It was a lavish party. Chiranjeevi’s family had booked the hotel for the entire evening. All the guests took turns and spoke about their association with Chiranjeevi and his phenomenal rise to stardom,” a source close to Chiranjeevi’s family told IANS.
Other Bollywood stars that were present include Vivek Oberoi with his wife Priyanka, Boney Kapoor and Tabu among a few more.
Superstar Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, who were expected to attend the function, were not to be seen.
Chiranjeevi, the star of the evening, sported a specially designed blue sherwani, while his son Ram Charan looked impeccable in a tuxedo.
The entire family of Chiranjeevi, including his brother Pawan Kalyan, with whom he is said to share a bitter relationship, was present at the party.
“The party hall was heavily secured and only the invitees were granted entry. Actresses such as Sridevi, Jayapradha, Radha, Tabu, Khushbhu and Suhasini took turns and reminisced their working days with Chiranjeevi, who was accompanied by his wife Surekha,” the source said.
Chiranjeevi’s mother Anjana Devi was also present at the celebration.
Among his Telugu counterparts, actors such as Mohan Babu, veteran filmmaker K. Viswanath, Nagarjuna with his wife Amala and son Naga Chaitanya, Venkatesh, Balakrishna, Nithiin, Gopichand and Ravi Teja were present.
Kamal Haasan along with his partner Gautami was also present.
Popular southern film heroines such as Tamannaah Bhatia, Taapsee Pannu along with her boyfriend Mathias Boe, Kajal Aggarwal, Trisha Krishnan and Ileana D’Cruz attended the party.
A special performance by a private dance troupe was organised for the guests at the party, where politicians such as T. Subbarami Reddy and K.T. Rama Rao were also present.
