Sunjay Kapoor can meet his children whenever he wants: Karisma Kapoor’s lawyer

Sunjay Kapoor, the estranged husband of Bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor, had filed a legal petition seeking his kids’ custody as the couple is on a verge of separation. The incident took a place a fortnight ago. Karisma Kapoor’s lawyer, in this regard, has stated that no restrictions have been enforced on Kapoor on meeting his children and he can meet them whenever he wishes to.

The couple got married on 29th September, 2003. After almost 11 years of togetherness, on May 23 2014, they together appealed for a separation on mutual consent. However, it was later reported that they’ve withdrawn their appeal of divorce. Meanwhile, recently Sunjay Kapoor was seen seeking his children’s legal custody, for the second time on a row.

“We have so far only heard about the petition. It was apparently filed a fortnight ago but we haven’t received anything yet. We assume it is still pending in the court. We are completely in the dark about the content of the application filed by Sunjay’s legal team.Even the petition to withdraw the divorce by mutual consent was first filed by him and then we withdrew ours. We will have to examine the grounds on which he is demanding the custody of the children. Sunjay has been spending time with the kids and even after the divorce by mutual petition fell through, he has been given access to them. He has met the children whenever they had the time and desire to meet, and he can continue to do so.”- Karisma’s lawyer told to a leading daily, in this context.
