Sushant Singh Rajput’s ‘M.S. Dhoni – The Untold Story’ trailer garners over 10 million views

The combination of Cricket and Cinema is a deadly one. This statement proves its point with the recently released trailer of ‘M.S. Dhoni – The Untold Story‘ starring Sushant Singh Rajput playing the titular role of the Indian Cricket team icon Mahendra Singh Dhoni. As soon as the trailer of this film made it to the internet on Thursday, the viewers went gaga over this biopic. It’s been less than 36 hours that the trailer was unveiled and it has already crossed the mark of 10 million views.

According to a statement from the makers, this over three-minute long trailer has almost hit the nine million viewership mark on YouTube and almost two million mark on Facebook.

Rejoiced over this victorious mark, director Neeraj Pandey said, “I’m humbled with the love that people have showered for the film. M.S. Dhoni is an inspiration and an icon for millions and I’m extremely happy that they have liked our effort of tracing the remarkable journey of their favourite cricket captain.” [sic]

Happy with the response generated by the trailer, actor Sushant Singh Rajput too, shared this news through his Twitter account. He posted:

Co-Produced by Fox Star Studios, ‘M.S. Dhoni – The Untold Story’ also stars Anupam Kher, Kiara Advani, Disha Patani and Bhumika Chawla in pivotal parts. It is slated to release on September 30, 2016.
