Actress Swara Bhaskar will be lending her voice for a radio film ‘Maa Ka Sapna’ on the occasion of Mother’s Day on Sunday.
“We’re making this film on the occasion of Mother’s Day which will be celebrated on May 8. It is a story about a mother’s dreams,” Swara told IANS.
“It’s a topic, specifically in our country, where mothers in the process of taking care of their children or serving their husbands, forget their own dreams or keep it aside and forget their identity,” said Swara who present at the radio station Big FM, which will be playing the film.
Swara plays a mother named Prabha.
“I think the best thing about the film is its title ‘Maa Ka Sapna’, so many things come up in the title itself. I really liked the concept as I did ‘Nil Battey Sannata’ recently, the film is playing in the theatres and has been receiving good response and people have loved it,” she added.
The 28-year-old played mother to a 15-year-old in ‘Nil Battey Sannata’ and doing another role of a mother might typecast her. But Swara has no problem.
“This is a radio film for an occasion and that is a feature film. Both are different things so I don’t think there is a fear of getting typecast,” she said.
Swara’s ‘Nil Battey Sannata’ was produced by Aanand L. Rai and released on 22 April.
