As February 17 is approaching, the wait is getting more and more difficult. ‘The Ghazi Attack’, India’s first ever war-at-sea film, is going to release with all its glory. Starring Taapsee Pannu, Rana Daggubati, Kay Kay Menon and Atul Kulkarni, it has an ensemble cast.
While we already reported that Rana plays a navy officer in the film, the trailer did not reveal much about Taapsee’s role in the film. But we have our hands on an interesting piece of information.
It is now confirmed that Taapsee will be playing a refugee in the film.
If you have watched the trailer carefully, you might remember the very sequence where a dreaded Taapsee is rescued from the sea and utters, ‘Amar Shonar Bangla, Ami Tomay Bhalobashi’.
The particular sentence is the beginning line of Bangladesh’s national anthem. ‘The Ghazi Attack’ is set on the backdrop of 1971 Indo-Pakistan war which was also the war of liberation of Bangladesh (earlier known as East Pakistan).
It is likely that Taapsee plays a victim of the war who falls prey to the war’s misery. Let us wait and see what the film unfolds!
