Months back, Kushan Nandy’s ‘Babumoshai Bandookbaaz’ hit the headlines after actress Chitrangda Singh accused the director of making her overdo intimate scenes, and moved out of the project. She was therefore replaced by Bidita Bag.
Recently, at the film’s trailer launch, Nandy was asked about Chitrangda’s exit and he had a different version to say. According to him, it was not the intimate scenes but the creative differences that led her out of the project.
“There were multiple issues with her… She had my script with her for one and a half years. The script was in detail, it had everything specified and even then if someone has any problem, I can’t force anyone,” Kushan said.
“There was no issue about intimate scenes because she had already shot it. She had issues with the script and wanted certain things to be changed. It was her decision (to opt out),” he added.
Soon after her alleged fallout with Kushan happened, Chitrangda gave an explosive interview to a leading website. Apparently, Kushan demanded, “Tange ragdo and sex karo”, while asking her to literally get on top of co-actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
The film is set to release on 25th August.
