THIS actress will play the lead role opposite Varun Dhawan in ‘Judwaa 2’?

We earlier reported that actor Varun Dhawan has been brought aboard to play the male lead in ‘Judwaa 2’, a sequel to the 1997 hit flick ‘Judwaa’. Latest updates on the film suggest that the makers have made their choice of the lead actress and it is none other than Parineeti Chopra! Earlier reports suggested that Jacqueline Fernandez will play one of the leads actresses in the sequel.

“The makers wanted two top actresses from the young generation to be paired opposite Varun. And they wanted two heroines who he’s never been paired with. One could argue that Jacqueline and Varun worked together in ‘Dishoom’, but the fact is they were not paired together. She was John’s romantic interest in the action-adventure saga. As for Parineeti, the duo appeared together in multiple ads and the hot ‘Jaaneman Aah’ song which set the ball rolling. So both are the best bets,” a source was quoted by an entertainment portal.

“Parineeti has a lot on her plate right now and is leading a busy schedule. Sometime soon, she is supposed to sit with the makers for a narration of the script,” added the source. The film is not likely to go on floors before 2017.

‘Judwaa’ starred Salman Khan, Karisma Kapoor and Rambha in lead roles. With ‘Judwaa 2’, Varun will play double role for the first time in his career. The project is being produced by Sajid Nadiadwala.
