This Bollywood filmmaker made Randeep Hooda take a break for a long time

With ‘Laal Rang’, ‘Sarbjit’, ‘Do Lafzon Ki Kahani’ and ‘Sultan’ back to back, Randeep Hooda is on a roll. While the first two have done average business at the box office, ‘Do Lafzon Ki Kahani’ is set to hit the theatres on June 10, and Salman Khan starrer ‘Sultan’ also features Randeep in a pivotal role. This brilliant actor remained underrated for a long time and is finally getting his dues. But do you know that a well-known filmmaker from Bollywood was the reason behind his hiatus of a couple of years, at the initial stage of his career?

Recently during an interaction with the media, Randeep talked about it. “Not that I didn’t have any work. Ram Gopal Varma made me accept no other work. Because he wanted to feature me in ‘D’, which he did. For that period, he was paying me Rs 35,000 per month,” he said.

That is quite a big secret for us. Though Randeep’s performance in the film was widely lauded, we didn’t know he had to wait so much to be cast there.

However, all is well that ends well.
