So, Kiran was an assistant director on Aamir Khan’s ‘Lagaan’. That’s where the two met. But, Aamir managed to impress Kiran when he connected with the assistant directors while travelling in a bus during the making of ‘Lagaan’. A superstar travelling with assistant directors is impressive and that’s what attracted Kiran.

On this, Kiran had once said, “He (Aamir) came up to all of us on a bus full of ADs, who had never worked on a feature. He came up and introduced himself to each and everyone of us and I was like, “Woah, that’s pretty nice for a superstar”. That was my very first impression of him.”
