Prior to its release, ‘Jolly LL.B 2’ fell pray to the anguish of practicing advocate Ajaykumar S. Waghmare, who demanded ‘LLB’ to be dropped from the film’s title. His defended his demand stating that the film showed sequences that were derogatory to the judicial system.
Abiding by Bombay High Court’s decision, the makers removed four scenes from the film. But now, a fresh trouble has cropped up as Bata India LTD filed a case against the makers.
It happened after Annu Kapoor, one of the actors in the film, was seen mouthing a dialogue in the trailer. It went like, “Varna kya? Bata ka joota pehan kar, tuchhi si terricot ki shirt pehan kar, saala hum se zabaan lada rahe hain.” (Also Read: ‘Jolly LL.B 2’ shows good performance at the box office on day 2)
Now, director Subhash Kapoor, representatives of Fox Star Studios along with actors Akshay Kumar and Annu Kapoor will have to appear before Ld. ACMM Court, Saket on February 22, 2017.
However, the makers decided to not to continue showcase of the questioned trailer on any of the platforms and the same dialogue would not be used in the film as well. In the film ‘Bata Ka Juta‘ was replaced with ‘Fata Hua Juta’.
