There were speculations about actor Varun Dhawan associating with Shoojit Sircar for his next film, which will be dark in nature and on the lines of his film ‘Badlapur.
The actor, who was recently present at an event for Singapore tourism promoting his next ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ opposite Alia Bhatt, was asked about the same, to which he confirmed working with Shoojit without revealing much details. He said, “We have come here for my next film ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ and Singapore tourism, so this is not the right place for me to speak about it. The movie will be a dark thriller written by Juhi Chaturvedi, who has earlier helmed ‘Piku’.
The actor is currently shooting for the sequel to 1997 comedy ‘Judwaa’, co-starring Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu.
Varun shares a very strong bond with Alia and the two are often seen fighting and pulling each others leg off sets. “We are like that only. It’s not that we do it whenever we are on camera. We always keep on fighting and arguing wherever we go,” Alia said explaining his bond with Varun.
Directed by Shashank Khaitan, and produced by Karan Johar, the film is releasing on March 11.
