Veerappan lookalikes scare audiences in cinemas

Ram Gopal Varma has always been gambling with his life and has a mischievous disposition while doing it. He has always stood apart from the rest of Bollywood and it’s no different with the promotion of his new film ‘Veerappan’ releasing on May 27, 2016, which stars Sandeep Bhardwaj, Lisa Ray, Usha Jadhav and Sachiin Joshi.

The first look of director Ram Gopal Varma’s upcoming film ‘Veerappan’ is a quick recap of the life of the forest brigand which showcases Asia’s biggest manhunt for the most wanted criminal Veerappan. The two-and-half minute trailer is scandalous and fascinating in spite of having no dialogue, it has been more then impactful. #VeerappanTrailer had already started trending on Twitter soon after the trailer being released.

Sachiin Joshi’s Viiking Media and Entertainment has now tied up with a leading multiplex chain all around India where you will find a lookalike Veerappan asking you “Aapne trailer dekha kya?” The same strategy seems to be a hit amongst the movie goers and while one enters to watch action in ‘Baaghi’ they are welcomed by Asia’s most wanted criminal Veerappan holding a gun in his hand, with fear being instilled in the movie goers.

The anticipation seems to be growing and with this move striking a chord with the audience, the wait for May 27, 2016 seems to be increasing. On touching base with producer Sachiin Joshi , he stated that this is one way to just give a glimpse to the audience on why it took 10 years to catch Osama Bin Laden but 20 years to catch Veerappan. The story unfolds on May 27 where the dark , dramatised portrayal of reality will be covered via RGV’s canvas.
