Veteran actor Om Puri signs two Pakistani films

From the 1999 English film ‘East is West’ where he played George Khan to 2007 English film ‘Charlie Wilson’s War’ where he played Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq, playing a Pakistani character isn’t new to him. However, veteran actor Om Puri is prepared to act in his first Pakistani film now. The film so far is titled ‘Na Maloom Afraad’, which will be directed by Nabeel Qureshi and produced by Fizza Ali Meerza.

The same director-producer duo is gearing up for their second cinematic venture as well. ‘Actor In Law; as it probably will be called, the duo are willing to cast Om Puri in that as well.

The actor takes enough enthusiasm in all the cinematic and literary events that take place in Pakistan and is considered one of the important faces in Indo-Pak collaboration. Will this venture turn a milestone in the cultural bond? Time will say!
