Veteran actress Sadhana Shivdasani passes away

Veteran Bollywood actress Sadhana died here on Friday after a long battle with cancer at Hinduja Hospital. The cremation will take place tomorrow at her Santacruz residence, a family friend said.

She was 74 and is survived by her foster daughter. The beauty who had made the fringe cut popular as Sadhana cut, was leading a very reclusive life since her retirement from Bollywood. She was suffering from a tumour and also had a small lesion in her mouth for which she had undergone surgery.

“Sadhana breathed her last at her home this morning,” said friend and BJP city spokesperson Shaina N.C. Her friends from Bollywood veteran actresses Waheeda Rehman, Helen soon reached the actress residence.

The beauty had ruled Bollywood with films like Mera Saaya, Wo Kaun Thi, Waqt and many others. After being disgonised with Thyroid she had turned towards direction and later into production.
