Vidya Balan

Our Bollywood celebs are seen celebrating the festival of colours, in the best way possible. Everyone has their own special way of spending the Holi day and actress Vidya Balan too has some special memories of the festival.

Holi is Vidya’s favourite festival and speaking recently about her best memory of the day, she revealed how she once had ‘bhang’ and how it effected her. “(My best memory is) Having bhang without knowing it was bhang and then laughing all day. This was I think when I was 16.” (Also Read: ‘Begum Jaan’: Vidya Balan’s brothel owner act in this teaser makes you more curious for the trailer)

The actress also revealed her favourite song of the season to be Amitabh Bachchan’s ‘Rang Barse’ and how she totally enjoys gorging on Indian sweet Imarti on the festival of colours. But leaving the fun element aside, Vidya makes sure she takes care of her hair and skin for the occasion. “By saying bura naa maano holi hai, people have always grabbed the opportunity to drench you in colours. While I absolutely love the festival, one has to be extremely careful of the quality of colours used as it can adversely affect hair and skin,” she adds.

“The only way that I escape from the after effects of Holi is by massaging a good amount of coconut oil on my hair and skin before I step out to play. This has been my saviour since childhood,” concluded Vidya.

On the work front, the talented actress will next be seen in ‘Begum Jaan.’
