Last year, filmmaker Vikram Bhatt had written an eye-opening letter and also filed a defamation case against Kamaal R Khan, as he had posted distasteful tweets about his movies. Well, the war came to an end only when KRK apologised to Mr Bhatt.
Now, Mr Bhatt is once again upset with KRK and no, this time it’s not for his film, but for a movie he enjoyed watching. Ever since Shah Rukh Khan-starrer ‘Raees’ and Hrithik Roshan-starrer ‘Kaabil’ released on January 25, KRK has been posting unfavourable remarks against ‘Raees’ and praising ‘Kaabil’. This has hurt Vikram Bhatt immensely and he penned a distressing letter for an entertainment portal Pinkvilla, wherein he has lashed out at KRK and has also attached his series of tweets. Here are some excerpts from the letter:
“Last week we in the world of “Bollywood”, how I hate that term, we had two films release. One was Kaabil, with Hrithik Roshan in the lead. The second one was Raaes, with Shah Rukh Khan. I have never worked with Shah Rukh and know him only socially, a powerhouse talent though and that is not even something that needs a mention.
Cut away now, as we say in film parlance, to a man by the name of Kamaal R Khan, with whom I have had a tryst in past and while a lot of people are easily scared of him or don’t want to be at the receiving end of his malicious tweets, I for one, have never really cared about malice. Infamy has never really perturbed me. Like fame, it is only temporary, but I digress.
Quite clearly Kaamal R Khan has decided to use all his power to bring Raaes down but it does not end there. To make my case I have no choice but to paste a few of his tweets here.” [sic]
“This man calls himself a critic, but don’t be fooled by that, for he is not. He is a slander machine and gets ahead by that very same slander. If you should read the tweets and there are many more on his tweet timeline, you will see a pattern emerge. This man called KRK is not reviewing a film, he wants to systematically attack the stardom of Shah Rukh Khan. Not that it makes a difference to Shah Rukh Khan but it does, as I said to me.
I don’t care if no one should stand with me on this. Attack my legends and I will attack you Mr-Self-proclaimed-Critic! I will not let you be the primordial barbarian trying to bring my temples down. I shall mud wrestle with you and bury you in that very same mud!” [sic]
This man definitely needs a round of applause for writing such a straightforward piece!
