What! Katappa aka actor Sathyaraj had made his Bollywood debut with Shah Rukh Khan

Filmmaker SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus ‘Baahubali 2’ is being awaited by the fans with bated breath. Each and every principal character from this film today is a household name, whether it’s Baahubali, Bhallala Deva and above all, Katappa. The most difficult question right now riding on everyone’s head is that why did Katappa kill Baahubali? And it will be answered soon as the film is ready for a release in the coming month of April.

But, not many except for the ardent moviegoers would remember that actor Sathyaraj (who plays the part of Katappa) has already made his full-fledged Bollywood debut earlier with none other than superstar Shah Rukh Khan. Surprised or shocked?

Veteran actor Sathyaraj is a popular name down south, and has predominantly been working in Tamil films. The credit to bring him here in Bollywood films goes to filmmaker Rohit Shetty who had cast him as Deepika Padukone’s father in his 2013 released ‘Chennai Express’. Well, we wonder that how many fans of Katappa aka actor Sathyaraj would now go and watch ‘Chennai Express’ again, after knowing this fact.

Talking about ‘Baahubali 2’, it also stars Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty and Tamannaah Bhatia in lead roles and is slated to release on April 28, 2017.
