Aamir Khan‘s ‘Dangal’ didn’t only make records at box office, but also paved ways for two newcomers’ successful journey in Bollywood. Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra started their Bollywood career with one big film with Aamir Khan and much to everyone’s delight, the audience loved their performance. But Sanya, on the other hand, feels that her performance in the film was not as great as it could have been.
Speaking a news agency, Sanya said, “I think I could have done much better in all my scenes. After watching the film, my reactions were like, ‘What have I done?’ There is so much room for improvement! However, I am glad that I did not like my performance. My dissatisfaction drives me towards perfection.”
Well it’s a good quality to always work towards polishing your performance at every given time!
Sanya, who is looking forward to her next project in Bollywood, also spoke about her fear of getting typecast. She quipped, “Since I played a tomboyish character in my debut film, there is a chance to get typecast. Nevertheless, I know I have to break that norm and thankfully the industry is changing and people are open to experiment.”
“Yes, people will take a little time to imagine me as a conventional ‘Hindi film heroine’ but I am confident about my talent and can perform convincingly, given an opportunity,” she concluded. (Also Read: ‘Dangal’ actress Sanya Malhotra replaces Bhumi Pednekar in ‘Manmarziyan’?)
