What was Shahid Kapoor’s special demand for Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 8?

Bollywood’s chocolate boy Shahid Kapoor will be debuting on small screen soon. The Haider actor is all set to judge Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 8, he has stepped into the shoes of Madhuri Dixit. Now we bring the latest on the reality show to you.

Apparently Shahid Kapoor is aiming for a perfect debut on Indian Television and hence wanted East India Comedy to write the show. But things did not turn up as expected. The EIC company has turned down his offer even though they share a good rapport with Shahid Kapoor.

Sources revealed that, “Shahid was keen on working with East India Comedy for Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa as well. He hasn’t directly approached them, however channel (Colors) tried their best to persuade EIC who turned down the offer citing issues. EIC is known for a certain kind of comedy, which they felt did not fit Indian television viewing and hence did not accept this offer.”

Azeem Banatwalla of EIC confirming the news said that they were approached by Colors, but could not take it up as they had too much work on their platter and also felt that the ‘platform’ did not work for them.
