When Lisa Haydon was called a ‘Black African’ in a popular comedy show!

‘Housefull 3’ actors Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Jacqueline Fernandez and Lisa Haydon were recently present on the sets of a comedy show for the promotion of the film. The popular television comedy show is famous (or infamous) for making fun of anything and everything; it didn’t spare the actors either. A mid-day report suggests that host Siddharth Jadav made humiliating comments about the actress’ of the film and it got Akshay dejected!

“Some of the lines, especially directed towards the actresses of the film, were derogatory. Akshay and Riteish were clearly looking rather uncomfortable as they felt that the ladies were being humiliated. Soon the last straw came in the form of a remark by Siddharth Jadhav as he spoke about Lisa looking like a kangaroo since she comes from Australia. Before this, he had allegedly passed a racist comment, calling her a ‘Black African’. Akshay flew into a rage at this point and immediately stepped forward in a bid to stop the comedian. What he obviously intended to be a push turned into a shove and the comedian went flying and landed a little further on the stage in full view of the audience. Lisa and Jacqueline had already welled up by then and if Akshay had not intervened, at least one of them would have broken down.’, a source told mid-day.

If this really happened, then the so called ‘comedy’ shows really need to reality-check the moral parameters of their  ‘funny’ content. Besides, we usually know Akshay to be a chilled out man with sharp comic timing. But when it comes to his co-stars falling prey to insulting remarks, he turns protective.

‘Housefull 3’ directed by Sajid-Farhad, which also stars Riteish Deshmukh and Nargis Fakhri in lead roles, will hit the theatres on June 3.
