When Vikas Bahl surprised Shahid Kapoor

Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt will be seen in Vikas Bahl‘s upcoming film ‘Shaandaar’. The movie also has Shahid Kapoor’s father Pankaj Kapoor and sister Sanah Kapoor too playing pivotal roles in the film. Shahid recently revealed that Vikas never let it out that Sanah too has been signed for the film as Alia’s sister.

Shahid Kapoor said, “Actually Vikas cast her without me knowing about it. Without telling me, she went ahead and met Mukesh Chhabra, the casting director, and auditioned for the role. In fact, Vikas called me and asked me ‘Guess who is playing Alia’s sister’s role?’ I was like who and then he said it is Sanah!”

He further added, “When Vikas told me that Sana has been cast, I was actually shocked about it because you know with younger sister, you never realize how big she has grown up! You always feel there’s still time. But I am happy. It is a very important role that she plays. Of course, Alia and I are there but then Sana’s role is equally important. Also, very amazingly, Sana and Alia look like siblings. But Alia and I don’t look like ones! The weirdest thing was that Vikas was more excited to work with Sana and dad than me.”

Shahid Kapoor’s sister Sanah had auditioned for the role without revealing her identity. It was only after she got selected the secret came tumbling out.
