Vinod Khanna’s death has brought an entire era to conclusion. Since news of his demise broke, fans and well wishers are coping with the fact that their favourite actor is actually no more.
Before his death, Khanna was undergoing treatment of gallbladder cancer at Shri HN Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre. Over time, a number of Bollywood actors and directors had dropped in to visit the ailing veteran.
One of the admirers who couldn’t stop visiting Khanna was Sanjay Dutt. He was busy with shoots of ‘Bhoomi’ that time. But for those who do not know, he has been a huge fan of Khanna. One day, he took a break from his schedules and reached the hospital with ‘Bhoomi’ producer Sandeep Singh. (Also Read: Sanjay Dutt clears the air about Salman Khan’s cameo in his biopic)
Only limited number of people could meet Khanna and for every such meet, the family was required to take a special permission from the hospital authority. But Khanna himself wanted to meet ‘son’ Sanjay Dutt!
Yesterday in the later part of the day, Dutt issued a statement, mourning the actor’s death.
“It is saddening to hear of the demise of Vinod Khanna ji. I have watched him as a child and throughout my life was always fascinated by his style and charisma. He was always a thorough gentleman. A big loss to the fraternity. He was and always will be family to the Dutts.”
