Yay! Amitabh Bachchan returns to host the ninth season of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’

It has almost been three years since the time the last season of popular TV game show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ was aired. For us and megastar Amitabh Bachchan’s ardent fans, it was the last time that we saw him on our TV screens. So for the ones who have been eagerly waiting for the next season, here’s a good news. The megastar has announced that the TV game show is returning with its ninth season soon. Recently, the actor took to his Twitter handle to share this good news along with some pictures from his look test.

The actor wrote, “T 2443 – Ok … so the pictures of KBC shoot got clearance , so there ..” [sic]

Aren’t we glad that the star is reprising his role on the other side of the hot seat? We had recently heard names of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Madhuri Dixit Nene, being approached to host. However, these were later refuted.

Talking about KBC, the show was first aired in the year 2000, and it has been hosted by Big B since then, who has changed the face of Indian television. Only in the year 2007, Shah Rukh Khan took over the hosting reigns from Amitabh Bachchan.
