Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has been a part of Bollywood for the last five decades now and is still ruling it with his award-winning performances. But not many know that the megastar comes from a prestigious family background. Big B’s father Harivansh Rai Bachchan was a celebrated poet and his mother Teji Kaur Bachchan was a well known social activist.

In the picture, Big B’s father Harivansh and mother Teji can be seen enacting the role of Rakhee’s parents. The picture is from a YRF film ‘Kabhi Kabhie’ and the scene has Rakhee getting married to Shashi Kapoor. Big B’s parents can be seen performing Rakhee’s kanyadaan. The 1976 hit film is celebrating the completion of 43 years of its release.
‘Kabhi Kabhie’ featured Amitabh Bachchan, Shashi Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor, Waheeda Rehman, Neetu Singh, Simi Garewal and Rakhee in the lead roles. It was produced as well as directed by Yash Chopra. The songs of the film such as ‘Kabhi Kabhi Mere Dil Mein’, ‘Main Pal Do Pal Ka Shayar Hun’, and many others went on to be chartbusters. And are still loved by the music lovers.
On the work front, Amitabh Bachchan will next be seen in ‘Badla’ co-starring Taapsee Pannu, Nagraj Manjule’s ‘Jhund’ and Ayan Mukerji’s ‘Brahmastra’.
