Did you know Late Sridevi quit acting for daughters Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor?

Late actor Sridevi was one of the iconic actors in Bollywood. She has delivered incredible movies and amazed everyone with her impeccable talent. The actor who has been relentlessly working since the age of 4, decided to quit acting after filming Judaai. Yes, before making a comeback with English Vinglish, Sridevi ji’s last movie was Judaai and decided to quit acting. The reason behind Sridevi ji quitting was just to be a dedicated mother to her daughters Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor.

After getting married to producer Boney Kapoor, Sridevi had beautiful daughters Janhvi and Khushi. She then announced that she would be taking a break from Indian cinema. The Sadma actor was the biggest actress but still, she decided to leave the industry. Several fans were heartbroken by the news. In fact, there were some fans who had sent her blood-written letters. Then Sridevi Ji had to issue a statement. “I have given my life from childhood till now to my fans and the entertainment industry with 100% dedication But now as a mother, I want to give time to my children and see them grow up with same 100% dedication but one day I will definitely return.”

After both her daughters Janhvi and Khushi grew up, the late actor returned to the big screens after 15 years with English Vinglish in 2012. The movie and she received a warm response from everyone. Her comeback film was a huge blockbuster all over the world with a woman-centric film that was her Superstardom. She then went on to star in Mom in 2017. 

Sridevi then passed away on February 24, 2018, in Dubai, leaving the entire nation in shock.
