Ranbir Kapoor on how he detached from his mom post break-up with Deepika Padukone 

Ranbir Kapoor is one such actor in Bollywood, who has always been the talk of the town for his relationships. The ‘Sanju’ actor who is currently making quite a buzz for dating Alia Bhatt, was once dating Deepika Padukone and their relationship grabbed headlines for a very long time.

In one of his past interviews, Ranbir had confessed about dating the leggy beauty and also spoke about how he got detached with his mother Neetu and family post his break-up with Deepika.

In one of his interviews with Times of India in 2011, Ranbir had opened up talking about his relationship with Deeika. He also spoke about how his mother was upset with him.

Spilling the beans on his failed relationship, Ranbir told the daily, “Yes, I was in a relationship with an actress who was talked about a lot. You know, I had just started out and working with these glamorous actresses, I was friendly with them. My relationship with that actress didn’t work out, we broke up. But I think we were mature enough to deal with it in the right way. There was no complexity in the situation (Raita Phailana).”

Elaborating more on how he started growing apart from his mother, Neetu Singh, he shared, “It’s not that I am an actor and I will lose my stardom if I marry. If I find a girl who deeply I am in love with, I really want to marry because I just feel this deep void inside me that I don’t have anybody to share things with. Not even with my mom.”

 “I don’t know what happened and it’s something which I am aware of it, I want to do something about it but me and my mother, for some reason, have grown a little bit apart, the connection that we had. She is one person who I love the most and I am sure she feels the same about me. But I have just been too detached. I don’t know why,” he concluded.

However, Ranbir doesnt let the past affect his present. He has worked with Deepika even after their break-up. In fact, Deepika and her husband Ranveer Singh share a great bond with Ranveer.
