DYK, Ranbir Kapoor made Rashmika Mandanna cry on Animal set; actress once revealed the reason saying, “Hum aam aadmi hain, so…”

Bollywood heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna made for an unexpected yet electrifying on-screen pair in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s 2023 blockbuster Animal. While the film primarily revolved around a complex father-son relationship. The love story between Ranvijay and Geetanjali struck a chord with audiences. Their raw chemistry, deep emotions, and intense passion made them an unforgettable duo. However, one of the most heartbreaking moments was watching Ranbir’s character shatter Rashmika’s on-screen heart. But did you know Rashmika also got emotional off-camera during the shoot?

Unlike in the film, where Ranvijay betrayed Geetanjali, behind the scenes, Ranbir Kapoor left Rashmika Mandanna teary-eyed for an entirely different reason—his kindness. In a resurfaced interview with Mashable, Rashmika recalled a touching moment on set when Ranbir surprised her with a special meal. She shared, “For Animal, when we were shooting, I was complaining about my breakfast ki itna boring tha. And how nicely how sweetly he got me breakfast the next day. He made his cook, cook and all of that. He got me breakfast and I started crying. I am like ‘how can the same food be so good? I’m sorry this is too good’.”

She further recalled, “And he’s like ‘why are you eating that boring food?’ I am like ‘you are blessed with a good cook naa, we are not. Hum aam aadmi hain, so we can’t like get a cook from Hyderabad and all no’.”

Ranbir, much like his legendary father Rishi Kapoor and grandfather Raj Kapoor, has always been known for his love of good food. But this sweet anecdote from Rashmika just goes to show that he not only enjoys eating but also loves sharing great meals with his co-stars.
