Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan are one of the most loved couples in Bollywood. Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri always give fans major relationship goals. The star couple tied the knot on 25th October, 1991. However, did you know Gauri Khan’s parents were against her marriage with King Khan? The interior designer had once revealed that to convince her parents they changed Shah Rukh Khan’s name to Abhinav.
When King Khan’s name was changed to Abhinav
Gauri once told Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla on his show The First Ladies with Abu Sandeep, “We were so young and then to take a decision to get married and to a person who is going to join films, and being from a different religion.” It was then she recalled changing King Khan’s name to Abhinav so that her parents think he was Hindu.
Gauri added, “We changed his name to Abhinav so they feel he is a Hindu boy but that was really silly and very childish.”
It’s been years Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan are still madly in love with each other. The couple has three kids – Aryan, Suhana and AbRam.
Aryan Khan is set to make her debut in Bollywood as a filmmaker. In December last year, Aryan shared a picture of a script along with the caption, “Wrapped with the writing…. Can’t wait to say action.”
On the other hand, Suhana will make her debut as an actress with Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies. Suhana will be sharing screen space with rumoured boyfriend and Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda, Khushi Kapoor, Mihir Ahuja, Vedang Raina, Dot, and Yuvraj Menda.
Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri along with Suhana and Aryan recently attended The Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) event. Several pictures of them from the event went viral on social media.
