Sushmita Sen recalls the time she had to leave an Akshay Kumar starrer film
Speaking with Mojo Story, Sushmita Sen said she had to leave an Akshay Kumar starrer film midway. Sushmita said, “Renee needs me to be there. She was not very well when she came into my life. She had a medical condition, a very severe one. So, I’m filming all the way in Canada with Akshay and Kareena, and it’s a multi-star cast.” She added, “I got a call from Bombay. My father, who was babysitting Renee, told me that she’s been hospitalised and is very serious. I took a flight back and said, ‘I know this is the end of my career, I’m so sorry’. They were very nice about it, at least superficially I think.”
She added, “After seeing her through one week of hospitalization, I ran back to say ‘I’m ready for the job, but the damage was already done.”
Sushmita opens up about her idea of love and freedom
Further, in another chat Sushmita Sen got into a chat with the Humans Of Bombay and said that she values her freedom. She said, “So the idea that I have been able to find happiness in this space is because I am also built that way. I believe in… nothing in life is more important than my freedom… very important to me. My freedom to be who I am, to choose the voice I want to speak with…”
She also shared her perspective on love and said,“I was 18 once and the world was all about ‘somebody will complete me’ kind of scenario. I am complete in myself. If someone can help enhance that feeling of completion, that would be lovely. I don’t need that for completion. When you need validation you must have the courage to stand in front of the mirror. That’s the only validation you need,” the Taali actress added.
Sushmita was last seen in Taali, a series directed by Ravi Jadhav.
