Watch: When Sanjay Dutt opened up about his drug addiction and much more

It is just 3 days left to the release of the much-awaited film of the year ‘Sanju‘.  After which, the date June 29, will be remembered as the day when a filmmaker had put forward the life of Bollywood’s baba Sanjay Dutt on a 70mm screen. Roping in Ranbir Kapoor to play the titular role, Director Rajkumar Hirani has made a wise decision, as his portrayal as reel Sanjay Dutt has been lauded by the audience and the industry wallahs.

Speaking about the man himself, Sanjay Dutt, he has lived an extraordinary life. From being involved with the underworld to his severe addiction to drugs, his life has been a tale worth being told off. When Rajkumar Hirani decided to make a biopic on the actor, he was firm that he would not only portray the 1993 bomb blasts phase of Sanjay Dutt. Focusing on his particular drugs phase, we recently got our hands on a video of Sanjay Dutt, wherein the actor openly admits to being a drug addict and elaborates on that particular part of his life. In the video, the actor can be seen saying, “I think I saw myself dying. I had got fed up with the idea of hiding and running, people looking down at me, running into bathrooms and stuff like that. And you know I was falling sick so I decided I needed help from my family.” (sic)
