When Birthday boy Shahid Kapoor revealed why he rejected Aamir Khan starrer Rang De Basanti

Shahid Kapoor is celebrating his 43^rd birthday today. The actor has left a lasting impression with his acting chops in movies like Jab We Met, Haider, Kabir Singh, and Padmaavat among others. However, there were several movies rejected by the actor and one of them is Aamir Khan’s starrer acclaimed movie Rang De Basanti. When Shahid Kapoor rejected Rang De Basanti due to work commitments

During his appearance on Neha Dhupia’schat show, the actor once revealed that he had turned down Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s 2006 film Rang De Basanti. Kapoor expressed he regrets turning it down due to other commitments. He was offered the role of Karan Singhania, which was eventually played by Siddharth. He said, “I regret not doing the film. They wanted me to play the role of Siddharth. I’d cried while reading the script and loved it, but unfortunately, couldn’t make time for it.”
