When Janhvi Kapoor admitted being perceived as ‘vulgar’ over gym outfit bothered her

Actor Janhvi Kapoor is carving her niche in the entertainment industry with her stellar performances. The last year was fruitful for the actress as she delivered some critically-acclaimed performances. However, Janhvi has also faced severe criticism over her choice of outfits. It was once when Janhvi Kapoor spoke at length about being perceived as ‘vulgar’ over her gym outfits.

The Mili actress said that even if she wants to wear something comfortable, her outfits, especially when she is clicked while heading out from the gym is perceived as ‘vulgar’. She also revealed that being perceived as ‘vulgar’ bothers her.

Speaking with Film Companion, Janhvi had said, “Sometimes you get photographed in a certain way or people perceive you in a certain way and they character assassinate you, even though you make choices based on your comfort. That bothers me. It’s a small price to pay.“

She added, “For some reason, the gym is where people see me the most. Some days I just want to look comfortable and not care about if ‘this is going to look vulgar’ if the photo is taken at a certain angle. This irritates me.“

Kapoor continued, “I don’t care if someone thinks if it is pretty or hot, I care if someone thinks that I am looking vulgar. I don’t think that any girl steps out with the intention of looking vulgar.“

Meanwhile, it was on Thursday that Janhvi was clicked outside the gym. The actress opted for grey pair of mini shorts and a tank top. She carried her gym bag along with her. And, Kapoor looked stunning.

On the work front, the actress was last seen in the movie Mili. She has the movie Mr and Mrs Mahi with RajKummar Rao, and Bawaal with Varun Dhawan in her kitty.
